Which sectors do you work in?

Dodman work in various sectors within the Food Industry predominantly focused around the Fresh, Chilled, Frozen, Ambient, Dry and Packaging sectors. We also carry out a range of works within the pharmaceutical industry. However, we would be pleased to receive enquiries from other industries.

Do you provide a turn-key project?

Dodman can provide a stand-alone machine or delivery of a complete turnkey package, from concept to conclusion. The ability to be flexible with our craftsmen enables us to handle contracts both large and small on a turnkey basis

Is your equipment CE compliant?

CE marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). … The CE marking is the manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

Dodman complies with all CE marking of new equipment, PUWER and is accredited with CE marking of structures and platforms EN1090

How does Dodman guarantee hygienic food processing on their equipment?

All our equipment is designed to maximize hygiene – from the materials we use, to the functionality of the designs which allow easy cleaning access.  Our aim is to eliminate bug traps and minimise your cleaning downtime(EHEDG)

What is the lifespan of your equipment?

We know of several of our machines that are still in full production 25+ years of service.  We cannot guarantee that lifespan, but if properly serviced and maintained we would anticipate at least 20 years

Can you provide maintenance/service programs?

Dodman provide a comprehensive maintenance and service program

We provide flexible and responsive site service including maintenance, repairs and installation, all backed up by our facilities back at base to provide a full package service from requirement to approval of drawings, to fabrication and installation.

Where practical, Dodman encourages customers to maintain equipment and carry out preventative maintenance to minimise the risk of failure and breakdown. Dodman is happy to offer bespoke maintenance agreements with an inspection at agreed intervals.

Can you cover CDM on projects?

Dodman believes Health and safety is an integral part of its business. We have a dedicated H&S manager who works with our engineers to consider health and safety at all stages of a project or task. Once a specification has been agreed with the client, we will produce detailed RA/MS packs (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) in order to identify and control all significant hazards. Dodman believes the key to effective health and safety management is to review and continually improve policies and procedures. We offer a full CDM package on larger projects and are accredited to Safe Contractor

Is your workforce fully trained?

Dodman employees undergo job specific and industry-based training, employees are trained in a wide range of safety-related subjects. Examples are: Confined Space, Manual handling, Asbestos Awareness, Abrasive wheels, Mechanical lifting and MEWP and Fire Awareness. All training is reviewed regularly and refresher training carried out. Dodman also strongly believe in the wellbeing of its employees and offer health surveillance for, hearing, respiratory and hand-arm vibration, all employees who carry out confined space tasks or operate FLT’s also undertake regular medicals.

Do you hold spares for your equipment?

Your Dodman equipment, whether it a Blancher or vibratory feeder, are major investments that demands safeguarding. All spare parts are guaranteed to be compatible with your Dodman equipment.

We keep an extensive archive with full records of all of our machines. This means that if you can tell us our machine serial number, we can tell you which spares you need. Even machines which are 25+ years old. Get in touch with us if you aren’t sure where to find the serial number.

Do you provide Operation and Maintenance manuals?

All new Dodman equipment is supplied with our standard O&M manual which covers you in ensuring that the operation and longevity of your equipment is prolonged

The manual also includes fault-finding and recommended spares list, all backed up by the Dodman Aftersales service.

What after sales service to you offer?

Dodman offer a Comprehensive After Sales Service

Our experienced and dedicated After Sales team of engineers are trained to undertake all service work on your Dodman equipment.

We offer a full range of service packages to suit your requirements, this includes comprehensive service contracts, to periodic validation and performance testing, through to one off maintenance and repair services as well as Planned Preventative Maintenance Programmes

Once we’ve installed and commissioned your system, our engineers and after sales team are available to support you whenever you need.

We also have a spares department and customer care team available for questions, advice, or for arranging maintenance.
