Dodman Ltd manufacture and sell a range of standard and bespoke equipment to the Food Industry and want to expand their current Customer base.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales person to join our team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to promote and sell our products and services to new and existing Customers om retirm  generating new business to increase the existing  client base.

You MUST have a proven track record of selling processing machinery and handling equipment to the food industry with a minimum of 5-years’ experience.

The equipment range includes Vibratory and Belt Conveyors, Tippers, Washers, Blanchers, Graders in addition to a range of bespoke applications.

We have a blue-chip client base with Companies specialising in fresh/frozen, ready meals, salads and canning industries and are diversifying into the snacks sector.

Design Engineer

We are looking for a new Design Engineer to join our technical/design office based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

As a member of the experienced Dodman engineering team, you will be involved with design of standard and bespoke equipment for a wide range of Food, Pharmaceutical and many other types of industry. An attention to accuracy and the ability to manage projects to achieve timescales and fulfil customers’ requirements is an important part of the role.

Job responsibilities

  • Design of new equipment to meet process requirements.
  • Modelling of parts, assemblies and detail drawings using Solidworks 3D software.
  • 3D Scanning of existing sites and equipment.
  • Creation of weldment cut lists, bills of materials and assembly/dis-assembly diagrams.
  • Improvement of existing equipment and fabrication/assembly processes.
  • Ensuring that equipment meets necessary safety and environmental regulations.
  • Co-ordinating with the Senior Design Engineer to ensure close liaison of the D.O with the Sales, Manufacturing and Site operations to ensure the smooth running of projects.
  • You will be proactive and innovative in applying known concepts and principles, whilst utilising a sound knowledge of current directives and safety regulations to aid design selection for specific processes.
  • Provide advice and guidance on solutions to engineering problems.
  • Consider ‘Standardisation’ of various specific equipment.
  • Regular analysis of design objectives to ensure good fit with customer needs.
  • Providing advice and guidance on solutions to engineering problems.
  • Surveying of existing equipment and site installations.
  • Liaising with clients to understand and fulfil their equipment requirements.
  • Production of operating and maintenance documentation for equipment.
