Role Overview

As a Mechanical Site Services Project / Contracts Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading site-based operations – overseeing installations, maintenance, and repairs while managing a small team of engineers. You’ll also work closely with Customers to ensure smooth project delivery, identify new opportunities, and help bring in additional work through your technical knowledge and customer rapport, whilst adhering to the agreed standards of cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise mechanical site teams to deliver day to day projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical installation and maintenance work
  • Liaise directly with customers, ensuring clear communication and excellent customer service
  • Identify and develop new work opportunities through existing and new customer relationships
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
  • Carry out hands-on mechanical work where required
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective on-site solutions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and project specifications
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and apprentices

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Services Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong background in mechanical systems such as fabrication, structural, pipework, maintenance/refurbishment, and installations
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects and motivate a team on-site
  • Confident dealing directly with customers and building positive working relationships
  • Ability to identify and secure new work opportunities
  • Full UK driving licence
